I was reading in the instructions i had for pinning the crank and everything was working out perfectly until i ended up putting a 24mm hole in the crank....the oil ran out of the motor and things don't look too good. what happened?

Man, I told you to have a professional do the work. Your always doing crazy **** like that. The instructions clearly say to use a 24mm socket to get the bolt off, it doesn't say anything about drilling a 24mm hole in the crank. I'm assuming thats what you did? How could you possibly get that mixed up. I told you I would help you out if you'd use a little common sense. Its not even safe to be over at your place when your working on a car. That jack you have, the one with the bar that you twist clockwise to jack it up, i can't believe your actually going to hook up an impact wrench to it. Do you realize how fast the car will go up if that actaully works? I'm not flaming you or anything, but your always up to some crazy ****, and your ideas aren't safe. Don't even get me started on jacking up the car from underneath the tire for extra clearance. Another one of your dangerous ideas.

Damn that sucks man!! You're boy here sounds like he may be onto something though. Reminds me of the 'Tool Man' Tim. Get a hot chick to work in your garage for you, then your mechanic buddies will like to be there to help you out. Sorry to hear about your car though, that really does suck....

I used an impact wrench on the stock jack to put street tires back on.

Get a LOT of FastSteel and mix it up. Stuff it in the hole you made and fill it completely. When it dries, about 24hrs, drill out and retap the hole for the balancer. Then pin the crank the way you are SUPPOSED to do it. I think it's a 6mm hole. Put a short 24mm grade 8 bolt in along with Red Loctight.

That probably won't work, but your totally f***ed anyway, what have you got to lose?
Time for a forged motor.

I've been to his place, the ideas he comes up with are just crazy. He has no clue about anything. I told him to come on here for help. He doesn't listen to anyone, he just does his own thing, and 95% of the time, its way off.

Thats nothing. You should hear about some of the other things he's tried. I'll post them on here tonight. I just don't want him to get pissed at me or anything. He's pretty damn funny when it comes to stuff like this.

Absolutely. No one in their right mind would drill a 24mm hole into the crank.

1"=25.4mm

So, you are saying you had almost a 1" drill bit, and you drilled into your crank that way.

I'm calling B.S. until I see a pic.

24mm = .9448 thats between 15/16th and 1" its a huge hole.

I have used an industrial drill and a 1.00" drill bit would require a massive drill. Motor would have to be out of the car.

Sounds like someone is trying to start a "nitrous in the valve cover" or "painted rotors" type thread.

I agree, it would take one hell of a drill to do that, and you would have to be a retard to put that kind of a bit to your crankshaft!

My little ole half inch drive drill won't even begin to turn a bit that big through a crank.

Maybe he used a hole-saw or a big wood boring bit!

Must've been planning on using rollcage tubing for the crank pin as well...
