15K miles on my 918's with 224/.581 cam, concerns?
I just turned 15K miles on the 918's. I've had this cam (224/224 .581/.581 114LSA) in my car for about a year and a half and plenty of WOT blasts. In addition to that, I've hit the track about 5 times with an average of 6 passes each trip. The rest of my mods in sig.
Should I have any concern? I have no problems with the car, it still pulls as hard as it ever did and no driveability problems at all. Speed Inc tuned it perfect IMO. I was just wondering if I might be losing power and if there is any risk with them at this point. FWIW, I have the newer batch of 918's from 2003.

Shouldn't have any issues. There are people out there with 20-30k miles on their 918's. THATS when I'd be slightly suspect of them. If you're worried, pull the covers and take one off and test it. Shouldn't be any problems. They've still got some life left in them.

You're 99.99999995% good to go with the springs you've got. Me, I wouldn't even check em till 30k. BUT..... always go w/ your intuition. If you're starting to worry about it, then now is as good a time as any to get em checked out. A couple bucks for some peace of mind isn't a bad investment IMO. GL to you.

I've got over 55K on mine with .589 lift and not a single problem. I think you've got a good way to go. If you want, just pop a cover off, take one out and go check the seat pressure on it @ an engine shop.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Whew, those replies gave me some peace of mind! I thought 15K was on the high side. I'll take one out just in case though.
Cobb, consistent 12.2x's with 60ft times in the low 1.7 range, temps in the mid 70's with a barometer around 29.8ish. Traps were low IMO, 110-111 that day. Full weight car, no weight reduction at all and no track tricks. I'm thinking if I could get in some mid 1.6's on my 17 inch Nitto's (the only tire I run), I could easily be in the 12.1x's or hopefully 12.0's in better weather. I'd like an 11 second slip with an LS6 intake, ported TB and LCA's.
