with this cam, are heads needed?
Before the summer im getting my cam and been looking on here for about 2 months now and ive narrowed it down but i dont want to have to change the springs and/ or heads YET! and saw that anything above .590 i would have to check the springs about every 10k miles?? what about a 226 .575? or the new g5x-2 cam. or how big could i go without valve train noise and damage to the springs? its a daily driver A4 with hooker Lt's and mti lid! I also want a nice lope to it and ill be doing tuning. i cant wait to get it in and see what it does!! thanks! dwayne

I have heard good things on both cams . I am running a 226/226 575/575 F4 cam and I think it is a perfect cam for my everyday driver but I do have heads give Alan a call at FMS and talk to him on the 226/226

if u get a cam with more than .500" lift, u will need to change springs... and if u wanna rev past 6000, get hardened pushrods also...
