Re: compression ratio
go with 11.5:1 <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
A lot of people can run that and get away with 93 octane <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

compression ratio
i have been to a few sites trying to figure out compression ratio and how to get it. i am trying to get a final ratio of around 10.5. i was looking at a set of ls1 heads milled .050, how do you figure in the .050" mill job into the stock combustion chamber size? what compression will ls1 heads milled .050" make on a 4.030 bore stock stroke 6.100 rod motor? also, what is a desired compression ratio in your opinions? what is to high for 93 octane, running on the street every day.
