Default Ported Oil Pump Necessary
I was wondering if a ported oil pump is necessary w/ a new camshaft? Im planning to install the TSP Magic Stick V.3

Its not necessary. It depends on the model year of the ls1. If its a 98-00, it's a good idea to replace it.

it is not necessary but it is a good idea (insurance) since half of the thing you need to remove to get it is already might as well go for it then

Like it's been said above, not necessary but a good idea when doing what your doing. Especially if your current pump has some miles on it.

Give us a call if you need one, I have them on the shelf ready to go.
