Oil pump pickup tube bolt
Anyone got any tips on getting the bolt out of the oil pump. It doesn't look like fun. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: Oil pump pickup tube bolt
Also - put a paper towel or two in the pan a few inches back (where you can still get it out with no problems). This will stop the bolt from running all the way down the oil pan. Magnets are also great.

Piece of stiff wire for taking and putting in bolt!
I unscrewed the bolt just enough to twist a piece of wire around it (near the head of the bolt). There is no way you will drop it using wire.
Plus putting it in is much easier. It didn't take me long at all to get it started using the wire trick.
Have fun!
