212/218 or 218/224 Cam Opinions?

212/218 or 218/224 Cam Opinions?
I was wondering what people's
impressions were with either the
Comp Cams
212/218 .522/.524 114 LSA or
218/224 .527/.534 114 LSA
I know they are not monster cams, but
driveabilty is an issue. And I may go
to a 1.8 Rocker Ratio - not sure.
The car mostly sees the street.
Any opinions good or bad welcome, thanks.

I am considering the 212/218 with LS6 springs for good daily driving, smog test, mileage,no tuning required, etc.

Re: 212/218 or 218/224 Cam Opinions?
i used to have that 212/218 cam in my car. It's a great cam considering how mild it is compared to what alot of people run these days. It idles great, requires little if no tuning on an A4 and makes great power thru-out the powerband. I'd recommend it

Re: 212/218 or 218/224 Cam Opinions?
I used to have a 224/230 ARE grind cam and that was just way too aggressive. The car would rock back and forth and I didn't like it driving everyday. Once I got my CarTek 218/224 (with .560 lift) it was MUCH better. That's a great drive-every-day cam. Taco Bell will still hear you at the drive-in

I am sure that this 212/218 cam comes with ex. lift .529 not .524 , if that is the same cam that I have 2 years ago ......
well , its a great cam , I have M6 car and my best with stock heads and with this cam was 11.61@+120 mph N/A
About the driveability , its great , and the car sounds stock
Good luck

Re: 212/218 or 218/224 Cam Opinions?
I agree with "Key Master" I also have Cartek's 218/224 567/567 113 cam. It idles great at 800 RPM (with tuning) and makes good power to 6600 RPM, it really is a nice daily driver cam.

218/224 .527/.534 114 LSA
this cam is a greater than the first one also keep your choose at the mid don't go more down, both this cam's they're very nice daily drive, but if you want in the future get a 1.8 Rocker Ratio, is bad idea! cuz you can keep your mony and get a cam with larger lift, that's my opinion.
Good luck
Thanks
