Default Cam only A4's who now have heads: few ?'s

How did the car respond compared to the cam? Did you have any serious retuning issues(tweakin my cam was a PITA)? How's the trans holding up?

any other tips/info i should know? Im seriously lookin into those TEA 1.5 heads <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

thanks for the info guys, but I wanted to hear from people that started with just a cam and stock heads, then got ported heads. Im thinking about gettin stage 1.5 or 2 TEA heads now and wanted to see how the cars felt after the heads went on. Also, I wanted to check to see if there were any major tuning issues or any other probs after the heads went on.

Ive got a house comin soon, so i was thinkin about gettin in on that TEA GP so i have them already <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Then i wont get the, "You need this for the house and not crap for the car line from the Boss lady". <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I think we have very simliar cams I have a 224 .581 112 Camshaft.

My cam has worked well, pulls like a bad **** especially past 6K. It idles fine except for a few instances, but more computer stuff should fix those little things up. My transmission is holding up fine. I'm also looking into a set of ported 5.7 or 6.0 heads. Should make the car pull even harder <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

pretty happy with my results for a small cam. im aslo looking at getting my heads on by winter. im going with absolute stage2s. probally going bigger on cam also 226/575/114. tranny and rear have held sofar. ive made at least 50passes going off 1100 rpm launch on 26.10.et drags.
