Will Stock LS6 Heads Get Me To 400 RWHP? I need +23 rwhp to reach 400. My '00 Vette currently has stock heads, LS6 intake, Comp 222/224, ported TB, LT headers and offroad exhaust. Recent dyno was 377/368. I roadrace the car so I'm interested in the lightweight valves in the stock '02+ heads and, unfortunately, can't afford the ported GMPP heads. Thanks.

Might me cheaper to just add a bigger cam like a G5X3 or MS3. BUT my Z06(02) through the manifolds dyno'd 376 and a cam(228/230) and headers put me at 420. I think the LS6 heads may only be worth 10-15 horse.

If they are not ported it will be realy close. If they are ported by a good GenIII head porter you sould make 400 easly. I made 390 rwhp unlocked PT4000. If i had locked the converter it would have been way more. I am running SDPC ls6 heads. Shipped to you sence u are in NC so you dont have taxes it will be 2k or so. That is 800 more than a set of stock ls6 heads.

A G5X3 cam with your bolt ons regardless of LS1 or LS6 heads will get you 400RWHP. Just give LG motorsports a call. I currently have LS1 stock heads with this cam and dynoed at 407RWHP with the normal bolt ons.
