Default Cam selection

I'm starting to look at cams for my 01' A4. I've noticed alot of "custom grinds", seems like everyone who sells cams says this.
Given any cam has similar specs, what are the differences between like say a Thunder Racing vs. Futural vs. MTI vs. Comp Cams ?
Who makes the best quality cams for the LS1?

You will find all the people with TR cams... partial to theirs.. all the ones with MTI and comp cams.. partial to thiers.. and all the ones with Futral.. partial to theirs..

You will find those without a cam tho.. tend to say futral from what is said on the boards..
I myself love futral..

So.. pick futral

none of the companies listed make the best cam or the worst cam for that matter. cam selection is based on application. a tr224 112, comps 224 112 (xe-r), tsp225 112, mti c2 are all going to dyno within 10rwhp of each other.

most use comp lobes, TR uses there proprietary lobe, FMS use cam motion, not very many use cranes and lunati. what it comes down to is price and service.
