Oil Tube Broke!
Well I.m taking the stock manifolds off so that I can start on my H/C swap, its my first time but have done many other tasks myself, so I trying to pull the oil dipstick tube out, (yes i have it unbolted from the head) and it won't come. so i try a pair of vice-grips and try tapping it with a hammer and it moves a little. I noticed it has some red gooey stuf, like the stuff used to assemble manual transmissions, or maybe locktite someone has put in there. I think ok it's on its way out so i take a break thinking i a getting somewhere, go to the topside and pull, sure nuff it comes right out, but looks like I may have left some in the hole. Any ideas on what to do know or any pics of a complet tube so I will know if i left any in the block or any suggestions on what to do next. Anything will help! Thanks

Mine did the same thing. When it was time to put it back, there was enough of the tube left that I could tap it back into the hole and get a good seal. The remaining piece fell into the oil pan at that point. It ended up sticking to the magnetic drain plug and coming out when I pulled the plug... So I got lucky on that.

That sucks! I had to work on mine for an hour to get it out without breaking it.
If you got the end with an o-ring and a 1" or so section you got it all. If not, you may be able to get it with a screw on a vice grip when you have the heads off.
If you have to drive what is left down you may be able to get it with a magnet in the pan.
Good luck!
