Default bad port work?

I have a 2002 Z A4 with mods in the sig.I've heard the warnings about local speed shop porting, but went with it any way.I had the heads taken down .0030,ported,2.02 1.60 and used the F4 cam 226/226 574/574@114 with 2 degrees in.I never had the heads flowed and they looked pretty hogged out.I've never had the car on a dyno before, but after the install it was necessary to get it tuned.Peak HP 408 at about 6300 rpms and 340 ft# torque at the same rpms wheres the torque? The track times are the same as below, but did gain 3 mph.

What was your tq around 4800rpm Jim? You know you are making more horsepower, because your mph increased... I agree you should be faster with your setup.. What is your raceweight?

Vince the graph starts at about 380 as it looks like they down shifted, then it goes down hill from there.I'd say about 360 as the graph is at work.stop by if you have time.R.W is 3550.
Jim.

Peak torque was at 6300 rpms??? Hogged out ports will cause a decrease in lower rpm torque. LS1 heads will flow very well without bein hogged out.

Hey Jim

408 RWHP on a A4 car is alot of hp im sure your heads are flowing fine. Do you have a copy of the dyno sheet you can post ? Id like to see wats up with that tq curve.

Thanks and have fun with it

I agree with Vince you hp seems good but your tq does seem kinda low, maybe try a different dyno just to be sure. Kinda like a 2nd opinion from a doctor.
