Default How do you know if a lifter is bad?
I have 2 taping sounds coming from the center of the block that increases with RPM? Lifters? the car has 107,000 miles on it...

Is the taping slow like the cam speed or fast like the crank speed? Does the sound get louder with engine load? If it does, it's a rod bearing.
