Default Stage III heads

I was thinking about just buying Stage 3 heads now since my end goal is 408, or 427 ci engine. My question is will it hurt my current engine of stock ci's? I will need them eventually so I would prefer to buy them now but if it will hurt my performance I won't.

They may not fit. Stage 3's in general have larger valves and opened up chambers for the larger bore.

You can get the stage 2R's which are basically the stage 3 but for the smaller bore. They can easily be made into stage 3's later. (I think)
