recommended gap for 10.5:1 milled heads
what plug gap would you guys recommend for 10.5:1 compression running tr6 plugs on an NA motor no nitrous?
(this is a 5.3 stock compression was around 9.1:1).
Also what else can I do to lessen problems with detonation besides runnin the best gas possible. Ive added a cooler tstat. anything Im missing to lower temps?

10.5:1 compression without nitrous? Did you change the cam as well?
I'd go 0.045" to be safe. You'll give up a spit in the ocean for fuel economy,
but you'll ensure a power stroke on each attempt to spark.
Run a cooler plug if you're pre-igniting. Maybe some chamber work. Make sure
all of the burrs are gone around the head chambers after the milling.
Have a look at your timing curve. Too aggressive on the spark lead can
give you high chamber temps causing irregular combustion.
If there are knock counts, check the full advance and post the timing.
You may need to cut a couple of degrees under full throttle.
