Default New Car Comes With New Car Problem, Please Help

New Car For Me:

So, I have driven the car a total of about 100 miles since I got it. Runs great no problems. Today on my way to work, I notice the Service Engine Soon light comes on. The car is still driving fine with nothing changing. When I get into the parking lot at work driving about 5mph and turning, the car stalls. Car starts right back up and idles fine. Put it in gear and start to pull into a spot the car stalls. It starts and idles fine and only seems these issues come up at very low speed.

Any thoughts on what could be the problem? I am going to get the car scanned at Auto Zone ASAP. Just wondering if this is something anyone has heard of or experienced?

Car Mods Are Listed Below: Car is an A4 with 2800 Stall Converter, 2001, 11,500 Miles.

Probably would help if you listed what, if any, mods you have done to the car. What year is the car, and i assume it's a A4?

put a scanner on it and check your IAC counts. Might be pulling an idle related code. Are you running AC? You may need to bump up your idle abit with the AC on.

I don't know to what extent your mods are impacting the problem, but, diagnosing it as if it were a stock car, I would look at the Idle Air Control (IAC) circuit first. On a lot of GM cars, the IAC valve gets plugged up and/or starts sticking, causing the idle to behave erratically: sometimes the idle speed is fine, while other times it's too low (stalling) or too high. When you mention that turning the wheels stalls it, it definitely sounds like the idle speed is too low - the extra power to drive the P/S pump is enough to stall an engine that is just on the verge of dying, anyhow.

It's pretty easy to remove and inspect the IAC valve (on the throttle body). Look for a build-up of gunk both on the IAC pintle and in the throttle body.

Well, it is..........................

Voltage signal from shift solenoid "B" indicates a "Stuck On" condition.

$450 to fix.....Ouch.

did this solenoid get affected by the installation of the torque converter ?
i've ordered my TC, and just curious if i'll experience something of the sort after the install... (it'll be installed by TTP, a sponsor over here)
