Getting turn and half, slightly more on some cyl preload. I could understand maybe wanting a 7.375, but this thing may want a 7.35 Dont like running that much preload (especially seeing boost on intake valve) so Im going to need to prod or shim it.

The only way the motor would need shorter pushrods then if orignally equipped with 7.4" pushrods is a slimmer head gasket was used, milled heads, decked block, cam with a bigger base circle, or lowered rocker pedastols. That is weird Jeff.

We could PROBABLY run that much preload (maybe its normal for stock head, stock everything else with a stock basecircle sized cam, its just been so long since I fooled with stock lol) but I dont want excessive preload at 7000 rpm with positive manifold pressure and the nitrous on full tilt Valvetrain stability is what Im afta!
i would try shiming it and see how valve travel looks, but I ran out of shimslast weekend
