Default Have Cam, Heads Are Coming, But Questions (Quench, SCR, ICL, etc)

MTI T1 cam is going in shortly. Heads are going to be started on next week (5.7L stock 99 castings), Stg 1.5 2.02 intake valves and stock exhaust valves. I was wanting to have the heads milled for more compression but was wanting some input...

How much should I mill the heads and what size head gasket should I run? Where does this put my quench at and how important is that?

Also, I believe the T1 is +4. Should I install it as such or install it where it doesn't have any advance?

I'm wanting the most power I can get out of this setup, but obviously I dont want PVC issues or horrible driveability. I just want to maximize this setup and this motor stuff is new to me, so any help is appreciated.

milling .020 and running a cometic .045 puts you at 10.96 SCR with a .037 quench assuming a stock -.008 deck height. with a .040 cometic its 11.10 SCR with a .032 quench, again assuming stock deck height.

yes the T1 is a 112lsa and 108icl, install it straight up, meaning the 108icl.

If you retard the cam you are going to move your powerband down a small bit.

It varies from -.003 to -.010 (at least from info on this board). That's why everyone should always measure everything!

So how does this information factor into my quench and what should I be running (or what is the ideal range for a street car that seems the track a few times a year)? Personally I like the idea of milling less and then using a thinner gasket to obtain higher CR simply because if I need less CR in the future I can always switch to a thicker gasket, hard to add material to a head though. So for that cam, and 93 octane pump gas, what would be the ideal setup?
