Default Oil Pressure gauge maxed out...

...since the search button seems to be broken right now does anyone know why the oil pressure gauge would be maxed out? When I turn the key on all gauges go down to the left but the oil pressure gauge actually moves to the right and stays there. Also I just installed the new engine, checked all grounds and they seem fine. I have a spare sending unit I will put in but I thought I read on here before that this has happened and there was another cause....anyone know what it is??

I thought this was the result of a broken sending unit...wouldn't hurt to pop the new one in and see.

Cool that's what I was thinking but wanted to verify that there wasn't something else that could cause this. Thanks!

Anyone know what size socket it is to remove it?

Not sure but it's online somewhere. I do know you will need one deep-*** socket to get it off. I snapped mine and used a regular socket to get the base out and then hand-tightened the new one on until I could find a deep socket (I know...bad idea).
