Help needed on LS1 block

Yeah thats normal, i wondered the same thing when i was doing rod bolts and saw this odd shapped hole, and its got 2 likethat that ventilate the center valley area. You can even see the underside of the cover through the hole.

Knuckle head. BTW the block cracked also, the damage was done as soon as I parked next to you at the open house (j/k). You must have an extra block or ten laying around, I need a cam too.
