More cam questions will 918's hold this?
CAMSHAFT SPECS
INTAKE EXHAUST
Valve Lift w/ 1.7 Rockers 0.581"
0.588"
Duration @ .050 224
228
LSA 112°
Street / Strip Camshaft
Will require computer modifications
This camshaft uses Xtreme Energy XE-R lobes on the intake and exhaust.
XTREME ENERGY XE-R
The XE-R designs are Comp's most aggressive hydraulic roller ramps to date. They are quicker off and on the seat than the original Xtreme Energy Series, yet they are still stable with rigid valve train and optimized spring selection. These profiles provide even more area than the comparable Small Block Chevrolet designs that are often used by other companies to “grow” a more aggressive lobe for LS-1 applications.
My only concern is that the 918's will not control the valave with this aggressive of a lobe, I know lift wise it looks good, but I worry about harmonics and valve bounce. Any opinions
