Default Dependability (high mileage?) with LS6 cam in LS1?

I was planning on installing the `02-`04 LS6 cam and springs in my 2002 SS. I chose this cam because:
1. I want the car to still sound "stock".
2. I want an unnoticed difference in gas mileage.
3. Being that it is a GM cam that was put in a production car, 100,000 miles without changing the valvesprings or other damage to the engine shouldnt be as big of a concern.
I have seen several people on here have installed this cam and have had great results (+30rwhp). However, after reading more about the smaller base circle and valvetrain geometery, I am concerned about how many miles I am going to get out of this engine with that cam installed. Has anyone here put on alot of miles with the LS6 cam?

You should be fine, like you said, it is a stock cam in another car. It's a lot of work just for a stock cam though. Really consider a "baby" aftermarket cam. I personally think you will be happier. Either way good luck!

I think you would be better off with the Thunder Racing"old man" cam.
