Which heads work best with MTI's Stealth II cam?
Which cylinder heads take best advantage of the Stealth II cam's reverse style split? Making the best area under the curve, and possibly highest peak numbers? I have searched a lot, but there doesn't seem to be a clear cut "best." This is why I need a little help from my fellow LS1tech members.
The goal is to build a power plant around MTI's Stealth II camshaft. I want to build a street sleeper that will be mistaken for a stock LS1 car. I want to run mid 11's N/A, and put down around 400 RWHP. Added benefits will be great driveability, vacuum, and good MPG. I've done research on this cam, and know it is fully capable of these goals.
Supporting mods will be(All on Stock bottom end):
Maybe a FTRA?
Lid w/ K&N
Fernco Smooth bellow
Ported stock throttle body
LS6 Intake
Harland Sharp 1.7 Roller Rockers
Whichever heads are decided on(slightly milled for little higher comp.)
Jet Hot/Hooker Longtube headers w/o2 sims
Matching Y-Pipe without catalytic converters
Stock catback
Which heads could possibly take the best advantage of this overall combination?
What's the max compression ratio I can safely run on premium fuel?
Any critiques to the overall combination are welcome as well. Thanks

I have the Stealth II cam along with Z06 stage IIe heads, MTI throttle body, Yella terra RR, full exhaust to include cats and made 412/380. Also have stage one tranny by Century and a Yank SS3200. Haven't had it to the track yet, but hoping for mid 11's with sticky tires. This a 2002 WS6.

I think "The Colonel " was the only one I've seen on here with the MTI 2E Heads and the Stealth II cam w/ 4000 stall running low 11's. I think he has a 9sec camaro as well. I know he has stated that he loves that MTI combo on his other camaro. I looking to do the same combo one day soon myself. Good luck and keep us posted .
