Highway cruising, slight throttle makes oil pressure dip just a little
Is this normal, or a sign of upcoming engine problems?
Highway cruising, slight throttle makes oil pressure dip just a little, barely enough to see the guage just notch down a couple of millimeters, but as soon as I let off the gas it bumps back up. Still good pressure, just fluxuating a hair inversely with the throttle.
It's just the opposite of what I would expect. This is at highway speeds in high gear with TC locked in, so the RPMs aren't going up or down at all.
Is this normal?
thanks.

My car does the same thing and has for the last couple of years. I hope its not something up comeing. I think its normal I have had many other engines do the same thing.

Just make sure to keep on eye on it. This problem sometimes occurs because the LS1's consume oil, and people don't always check the oil level. Under WOT, you can see the gauge drop significantly before it begins to climb if you let it go too long. Do an LS6 PCV conversion to be safe - and maybe even add a crank breather for ***** and giggles.
