Cut off at 2500 RPM

Cut off at 2500 RPM I've been having a weird problem with the engine cutting off a little bit at 2500 RPM. I have no idea what it could be and it is probably something basic with a simple answer. All I know is that once it reaches 2500 RPM it feels like the engine lets off a little power. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
