Default Are Larger valves worth any more HP?

Time to freshen up my heads. Blew a gasket. I have a set of Patriot stage II 5.3s with a 2.02" intake and a 1.57" exhaust. Thinking bout going up to a Ferrea 2.055" intake and a 1.600" exhaust. The cam that I'm running is a F13 with all the bolt-ons. Will have the heads worked up a little bit more. Car made 426RWHP last dyno pull. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

The main thing that helps patriot work is hand blending around the valve guides and in the bowls. You will gain some from the larger valves, but you have to blend the bowls into the the seats or you wont gain anything.

hmm... well i'm sure they'll give you more power, but is it really worth the cost for ANOTHER set of valves and more port work? Just estimating, but lets say $300 for the valves? and like $500 for the porting. Thats $800, plus you'll probably have to get it tuned again, so thats another $100-$200. I guess you may get another 20-30 rwhp out of it though.

Yeah thats way off. There might be people that could do the work and supply the valves for $500 shipped . I would be no means expect 30whp or more. More like 15whp if there is room for improvement in the bowls.

Oh yeah and this minor of a change will not require a new tune.
