Default Started backfiring 1k after cam install-possible causes?

Car in sig.
Sitting at idle after driving multiple times. Again when partially floored and traction control engaged. No SES light. Can really smell raw gas coming out of the tailpipes from behind when opened up.
No abbormal valve noises.
Any ideas?

pull your plugs and make sure your plugs are okay.

I'd say you need to pull the valve covers and double check the rocker arms. If everything is fine I would look at tuning. Good luck! Wish I had more for you but this computer diagnosis is pretty hard.

This sounds familiar, just a good guess I had this problem, pull off driverside valve cover, I believe you have either a loose rocker or one that has broken. Check this. Intake side no. three cyclinder.

i'd say check the plugs as well, when i did my first cam swap i left the stock plugs in with a pretty good sized cam (thinking i would change plugs in a week or so) and the tip of one of the plugs got knocked off somehow and the thing was backfiring like a ****...sounded like hell under accel. changed to new tr6s and it ran like a bat.
