Default 5.3L Stock Head Flow

Anybody have #'s? I tried searching, but I can't find any actual flow #'s. I want to do something (cam) to my new Avalanche, but I am wondering how bad the stock 5.3 heads are. I can't really afford ported heads right now, but I might be able to get some stock LS6 heads. I know they would be better, but how much better (particularly if I might want to save the $ towards some ported heads). Thanks.

Thanks.

I searched all kinds of '5.3' 'stock' 'flow' 'head' terms, but I got tired of looking at all the threads without any relevant data. Most threads were in regard to how much compression would be lost by simply swapping to LS6 heads.

How much would I have to mill LS6 heads to maintain (or increase) my existing compression raito? Do I run into any problems with milling them too much? What about P-t-V with say .583 lift on a cam?

If the #'s in that thread are accurate, I might actually be better off to get some 6L heads. They have the same amount of average flow as the LS6 heads (a little more down low and little less up top - from .200 to .600).

What is your SCR now and what are the cams full specs at .050?
