Default ATI Crankshaft Pin Kit

Who has used this, and what speed did you run the drill for this operation? Did you use cutting oil?

I used a 3/8ths snap on air drill, just sprayed a little LPS 2 in the drill guide and SLOWLY applied pressure. went approx 1/3 the way removed cleaned debris more lube, repeat....repeat. Actually the process is very painless. the material is softer than you think!!!

I measured how deep I needed the hole to be, then marked the drill bit by wrapping electrical tape at the appropriate spot . worked like a champ!!

I did it literally exactly the same way. I went fairly slow in speed.

I ended up doing it dry because ATI told me to. I also have a pin that is loose (slides through) in the crank.

My Pin had to be "tapped" into place, I used a little locktite, although its not needed the balancer bolt "retains" everything in place.

Sounds like you got it done.

good luck with the rest of the install.

I ordered some oversized pins, 0.001 and 0.002. One of those should eliminate the slip.
