Question Do I need to get new lifters for head install?

I have a G5X3, and Im installing some AFR 205's. I was wondering if I should go ahead and install a set of new lifters. Is this really necessary? If so, what kind should I get? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You dont have to, but since you are that far why not? I have used the comp r's in my last 2 ls1's and have liked them. Good luck with the buildup

Crane or Morel.

The stockers are likely to fail, although the are sturdy, they are not made to handle over .600 lifts.

Its not nessecary, but it sure makes life a lot easier, when you know the lifters are ok & you dont have to pull the heads again. Trust me, been there done that. Save your self the time & trouble & go ahead and replace them while the heads are off.

just search lifter failure and see how many were running stockers with big cams.

I'd definitely replace them. When the heads are back on you'll be kicking yourself for not doing it.........unless you plan on taking the heads off again.
