Default Comp cams 1.75 rockers

I have a 98 ls1.I about to buy the comp cams 1.75 rockers(new springs etc...),and I was told that on the 98 heads you had to shave down where the rocker sits.It would be nice to know these things before I buy them.So give me your opinion.

Call the comp cams tech line and ask them.I put a set on a 2001 model and had to
modify the valve cover internal baffle. When I bitched at comp they said they prototyped the rockers on a 98 model and need no mods on them.GM changed to
centerbolt valve covers after 98 that caused rocker interfearence.
