Default how well will this combination work for me?....408,...

well i am at the line where my cam only car is beond its limits. it has been really good to me and it will be in there for a few more months.

i am picking up a 6.0L iron block, ported LS6 oil pump, and gasket set tues. morning. i plan on going .030" over and stroking it to 408 inches with an all forged bottomend. i will have locally(very good, and experienced with lsx heads) ported 317 heads. i will have between 10.5-11.5:1 compression. i am keeping my TSP MSv3 cam, dual springs, and such(they are less than a year old) i have an ls6 intake plummed with an NX direct port now. i am wandering what kind of power this combo should make. i have been told, and i think it will be less radical than my car is now with the same cam because of the extra cubes. if anyone has a different opinion/thought about this combination feel free to express yourself. the one thing that i am absolutly stuck on is keeping my cam though. Brian at TSP said i could get around 15-20 more with a much bigger cam, but i will sacrifice a little power in that department for now. i can always put bigger pills in the dp if i wanna go faster

The reason you have no responses it because it's hard to tell how much power you have when you don't list the size shot of nitrous. You don't list what you made before. You don't list the compression you had before. Every car starts off differently. A typical 408 with decent heads and cam is going to run you about 500-525rwhp. You throw in a cam in the mid 240's-low 250's and you should see upwards of 550rwhp given you have a nice set of bolt-ons. Obviously the nitrous is going to be close to what the shot is. Why do you want to stay with the magic stick?

i have pretty much FULL bolt ons, my car has completly stock heads, bottomend, and rearend. i run a th350 trans with an art carr custom stall for n2o and a transbrake. i have roughly $1k in valvetrain /cam thats less than a year old. currently i am running 200hp on the spray. the MSv3 specs out at .603/.609 237/242 113 LSA, i think it will work fairly well with this combination and will be VERY streetable. i am still running a diablo sport programmer with custom tuning via email. i have only dynoed it once (on the old setup, 4l60e TCI 4500 stall, and n/a) it did like 408rwhp @ 6400.

its a small cam for a big motor, but there were results posted earlier about a big cubed motor on a tiny cam making into the 520s ore better.

With a real tune on the dyno 500+ is no problem.
