Default 427 guys.....what is your timing at wot?

My motor is in the process of being dyno tuned. I was talking with some car guys and they were saying the old school big block timing was set in the 35 + range at WOT, due to the larger cylinder size and longer burn time needed to atomize the fuel. I was wondering what your timing is at WOT. My guess is around 28. Thanks.

Alot depends on fuel and compresion. I don't think going much over 30-31 would do any good.

yea, every motor is going to like a different amount of timing. your tuner is going to have to find that number for your motor. just a matter of playin around a little on the dyno.
