MS3 and Nitrous. What tune?
hey guys,
I'm thinking about installing the MS3 cam this winter in my 02 WS6. I don't know a whole lot about cams, but i've talked with another member on the board here who likes this cam, so i figured why not
i'll also be running a 100-150 wet shot ontop of it
my question is what type of tune to get.
TSP does a mail in tune, with adjustments for a year (i believe) for like $250
I know dyno tunes usually go for around $500, but i don't know of any great LS1 tuners here in Northern Ohio
Another member on the board had his car tuned by a guy who will hook up the A/F ratio and have you drive around on the street and tune it that way. Not sure how much he charges to do that.
so I'm wondering if I can use the mail in tune and be just fine, since its just a cam. but I want the a/f to be nice and right for the nitrous. I know the owner of a local dyno, so I could keep jumping on that to check my a/f and have TSP make adjustments. The dyno shop only does mustangs for right now, so he can't tune my car.
thanks guys
