Default best cam for p/p stock heads

The car is a 2001 Z06. I will be doing a pretty basic port and polish job on the ls6 heads. I will be running lg motorsports long tubes, vararam induction, ported/polished tb, and an asp pulley. The car will also be tuned by a reputable tuner.(mc racing in kansas city) I will be using the car mainly for drag racing, some scca type racing and a good bit of plain old hot rodding around town . Any info is appreciated.

the cam I am looking at is this---> 236/231 601/581 112

I had a reverse split in my 02 z28 and it put down 404/387 to the wheels with all the bolt ons, p/p'd stock heads and tuning.(230/228 588/567 112lsa)

Some have had great luck with reverse splits but with ported heads and a good dual exhaust its not going to be optimal IMO. I would look at the same type cam as redtail or F13 as he suggested or maybe the Comp 228/230

I'm going to go off of what Bo said, sort of and recommend the G5X1. It's a 228/232. It has enough split to work well with your car, will make good power without being too extreme, and have enough top end for drag.

The Futral F11 would also be the equivalent of the G5X1, roughly. See sig for specs.
