The Comps are the only ones I know of for the LS1. Crane doesn't make them. Depending on the type of valve seal you are using, they will either go under or over the seat. If the seat is integral with the seal, then over. Since the Golds use a new seat, and I think you use the older seal design, then they will go under.

The OD of the shims you want are 1.250" and they come in 0.015" (Part # 4736-16), 0.030" (Part # 4742-16) and 0.060" (Part # 4748-16) or a set that contains them all (Part # 4753).

Check their online catalog to verify the part numbers.

Not sure what your setup is, but you may find the Patriots install at less than 1.8 without shims.

I just wanted to make sure that the spring are the right hight, because the max lift for the springs is .650 lift and my cam is .650 lift ,I called patriot and they told me that thay would work just fine for that lift, thay said that the .650 max lift was a safe max lift and that my .650 lift cam would be just fine as long that they were in stall at the right hight,don5t want to be to tight because of coil bind.Ill call the today to find out what the install hight should be.
