Default sleeving damaged lifter bore

98 Ls! Lifter bore damaged. Is it feasible to have the bore sleeved by a machine shop? Reliability?

Sure, but by the way the LSX blocks are made its a real tight area to work in compared to most other engines so some shops probably wont be able to do it. Just bring the block with ya so the shops you go to can see what needs to be done.

We have done this before.Blocks have to get bushings when you switch to a keyed style lifter or like in your case theres been damage to the bore. If done right the last longer and are better then just a bore in the cast block. We use a 1 inch OD brass bushing. If your going to do it local find a good CNC machine shop that knows LS1s.
