I am going to be aseembling my 1997 Corvette motor soon, and my question is what needs to be upgraded and done to it first? This is my first experience with these motors, so I know nothing about what parts are quality and which are not. Engine will be getting a street/strip cam and maybe ported heads. What should I upgrade and where should I get the parts? I heard the 97 Corvette motors aren't the best, and can't be bored, so what should be done? Thanks guys.
