Default Need help-Noobie- engine 1999 T/A

I am looking to purchase a 1999 trans am M6. IT currently has 83,000 miles. The guy told me that he rebuilt the top( i.e. redid the heads, springs, ect..) He is asking 9500, is it worth it? How long will the engine last, it was not driven hard, but then again no car is"driven": hard. I was looking to put nitrous, is it safe to do on 83,000 miles? or would it be more wise to do a cam and bolt-ons.

Your help IS! appreciated!!

Blake

p.s. any flaws on the 99 T/a's?

If it were me I'd ask for a blueprint sheet for the valvetrain at the least. Then ask what gaskets he used for the heads. As long as it was put together right I wouldn't see a problem as far as spraying it.
Its risky but when you think about it buying anything used is risky.
