Default 01'+ Rocker Arm Consistency

I was told that the 01+ stock rockers are more consistent than the earlier ones, and that they also have better needle bearings. Is this true? I hear the earlier ones are very inconsistent and can be way off. I noticed when I bought one from the dealership that it was a different color than the ones in my 98.

I would think that they would be improved just because other stuff got improved over time as well. Where is that post that someone put on here that shows all differences between the years 98-02? I bet it would be in there.
