Default rod length question

I got a set pistons a while ago and i want to know if i can use 6.100 rods or 6.125 rods are mandatory with this set of pistons. would the rod length change my comression?

"LS17H12SD 2cc Flat Top Piston 1.312" Compression Height 3.903" Bore. 3.622" Stroke X 6.125" Rod Length. 1.5mm–1.5mm–3mm Ring Grooves. 4032 Alloy. 10.6:1 with 67cc Head" i got this from the lunnati website

yes, if the pistons were made for a 6.125 rod, and you use a 6.100, youll be down a ton of compression, plus youll open up your quench a bunch more hurting your burn.

I think in my case going with 6.100 rods would be better since i'm going to be putting some #s of boost. is that right? or i'm i missing something??

well, a normal ls1 piston is .007 out of the hole. With a .054 gasket, this makes for .047 quench. Most aftermarket pictons have 0 deck height already, so a .025 smaller rod would give you .079 quench. Youd be better off running heads with a larger conbustion chamber, however, if budget is of more concern than milking every last HP out of the car, youll probably be okay.
