Default how straight forward is a LS1 to LS6 swap??

I got a hell of a deal on a LS6 motor and am going to drop it in my 99 WS6. Im assuming from looking around that its out and in plug up and go for the most part, anything I need to know about? I searched and didnt find any answers.

engine to engine swap? Should be plug and play. might need to get your ecu rewritten with the ls6 program.

Its everything minus the trans, so pretty much plug and play as I figured?

Don't know for sure, but the F-bod oil pan may be different shape, but you could always use the one off your car.

Why swap the whole engine out? only the cam & heads will make any performance gains. Why not just use the heads & cam?

You will need to use the F-body oil pan & accessories. But it is a simple straight forward swap.
