Default Q about a TR224 cam?

Ive got a 01 WS6 in which I just installed a TR224 112LSA. It seems to me that its not lopping as much as it was (after a few days). Ive heard others on LS1sounds.com with the same cam and they sound much better than mine. I know for sure the cam I got was the correct one. Its idleing about 800RPM. The car used to through a SES light (multipule engine missfire) and is no longer anymore. HPtuners is on its way, so do think its all in the tuning or did my timing chain strech(if that would make it run smoother i don't know)? It seems not to have lost any power. I know the new LS2 chain lined up correctly. Little advice please

I've got the same cam but with a 114 LSA. Sometimes the car will idle at around 600 and have a very choppy sound with a good lope to it. But if it idles higher (around 8-900) it is a much smoother idle with very little lope.

My car did not sound like it had a cam at all, until after I lowered the idel rpm's in the tune. Now it has some lope to it.

It could just be that after driving it for a couple of days..the PCM has made slight adjustments to try and compensate for the new cam. thats the only logical thing i can think of that would make the idle get a little smoother after a few days. I have the same cam, i just have not installed it. Is your car a 6speed? or an Auto? also, how is the driveability right now without a tune? And, is there any chance you can post a video of the idle??

What exhaust system do you have? Do you have headers?

She's a 6 speed! yeah it drives great. It has SLP Loudmouth, still have stock manifolds and y pipe, but not for too long! I'll try and get some sound clips for u when I get the chance. When I first fire the car up, it sounds bad-*** but about 10 seconds later it smooths out! I think I just need to lower the idle. I do like the cam alot because of its topend power and I still need a tune.
