Default HP Gain from a froged 347?

Ok I am wondering if the internal parts really help get all avabile hp out of your motor? IE...I know the true advantage to a forged motor is you can spin your cam higher, there for making more hp. So can anybody tell me if there is more to it than that? I know the question is odd, and isnt fully explained but thats the best that I can do. .lol thanks for the help

Depends on the compression of the pistons. If the specs on the block are the same there is no HP advantage to go with a forged motor. You do however, need a forged motor if you are going for higher Hp applications. ie., Nitrous Blower, High compression,
