Default Arp Main stud help

background: 6.0L block came back from machine shop with pistons installed and LS1 crank turned .010. I installed cam, etc, but noticed when I went to install rear cover that it would not go on. Problem was that 4 main caps were put on backwards. I know that GM bolts are torque to yield, so I bought ARP main studs and reversed the 4 caps. I followed ARP's torque specs along with their moly lub, and the crank will not turn. I loosened all bolts until i got the crank to spin again. Torqued to 15 lbs, and it still won't move. ARP recomends 60 foot lbs on inside, 50 ft lbs on inside, and 19 on side. Why did I have no problems prior to reversing caps, but since changing, they won't move? Do I need to have the mains re-honed?

maybe they had the caps reversed when they machined the block, so they left them that way. you putting them in the "correct" places may actually be wrong for how the block was machined.

I'd definately check with the machine shop and see about the caps. It may save you a ton of hassle and $$$
