You can go about it more than one way. The normal for the LS-1 block is the 4.125" bore and a 4" stroke, or you can do a 4.060" bore and a 4.125 stroke in a iron block. The aluminum block will have to be re-sleeved. which is expensive, and the iron block will have to be sonic tested if you go 4.060". The block itself is no diffrent on the outside, so all current accessories will work back. As far as internal parts, you'll want to upgrade to ported heads, cam, lifters, headers, etc.......

Yeah, not to mention the forged stroker internals after you re-sleave. You might be better off going for a 402 short block, and pick the heads, cam, intake etc. for the new engine yourself; or you could find a 402 long block with all the stuff ready for the few acc's you want to keep from your 346. This might be more cost effective, quicker, less down time for the car, and still get you in the 500+ hp range. I'm guessing at least $11,000 to convert it to a 427, and $4000-$7000 for a new 402 short block-long block. And you could sell you old engine to recoup some dough... I'd take some of the extra money to convert to a 427 and spend it on a FAST 90/90 combo, 12-bolt rear, and True Duals
