Go with the head that puts compression where you want it. Both heads flow nice and make good power.

Is your 6.0l an LQ4 or LQ9? There's a compression ratio difference between the two. It would also help to know your specific application in order to make a proper recommendation. Tell us if it's a car or truck (or boat?) and things such as transmission/converter (if applicable), gear ratio and tire size. Will this engine be boosted or injected with N2O?
The cost difference with the LS6 vs the 6.0l head cores is around $300.00 per pair. That needs to be factored into your build budget.

Good luck,

Richard

Ill chime in with a question here as well.... I was originally going to use a set of 317 head on my 6.0L Im building with a domed piston for about 11 to 11.5 to 1 cr. Well I got a load of 241 and 243 heads in as well as a nice set of lq9 pistons and rods. So my question is assuming I am using an undecked block, factory GM head gaskets and unmilled 243 heads, how much would the cr ratio be with the smaller chamber instead of the 317 casting? Thanks in advance!

Well, do you want higher scr? Then go with the ls6's. If not, then stay with the 317's.
