Default 230/224 without gears/tune

can i get by without a tune/gears for awhile with the tr 230/24 111 cam,
o1 ss m6 longtubes, ory, borla cat back, lid, maf,

You'll be alright without different gears but you definitely want a tune for both driveability and the sake of the engine.

Possibly, idle will be rough and it may surge some but if you bump up the idle with the screw you MIGHT be ok. You will also not see max power.

Yeah you can get by okay. I installed my cam and drove it for a few days untuned. Surprisingly the idle was fine, I just had a couple instances where it would want to cut off so I just watched the tach a bit. Then a small bit of surge but other than that, it ran great untuned.

I think you will be "ok" but i would get a tune asap. You will feel a night and day difference after a good tune.

I agree. I drove mine for a couple weeks with no tune and I thought it wasn't too bad. Once I got it tuned I realized how bad it really was untuned.
