Default Is GM using 6.0L head gaskets on 5.7s now?

I ordered some GM LS1 MLS head gaskets from Scoggin-Dickey and I was sent 6.0L gaskets. I called S-D and talked to the parts guy and he did some research and said that the 12498544 part number is now for 6.0L gaskets and that there were no more 5.7L gaskets. This doesn't seem right to me. He told me that if I found some 5.7L gaskets I could return mine, so that's what I'm trying to do. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is there a different part# for the 5.7L gaskets?

I looked on Fred Beans web site, the 6.0 gasket is listed for the 5.3, 5.7 and 6.0. Same part so you may be correct.

My buddy bought some 5.7L ls6 mls gaskets last week at a local chevy dealer. I know they are 5.7 as they have the stamped tag on the sides. Might just be remaining stock, but they are still out there. Let me know if you want me to pick up a set.

You wont have any problems running the 6.0L gaskets. Infact it tightens the quench up by .006 and slightly raises compression. Its a .054 MLS gasket as opposed to the 5.7's .060. I wish I had a set of 6.0's instead of my 5.7s under the heads now.

Hmm, I thought the larger bore of the gasket would decrease compression.

The larger bore doesnt lessen compression as much as the thinness of the gasket raises it. My compression would go from 10.85 to 10.93 by switching to the 6.0 gaskets. The quench would also be .047 which is slightly better than the normal 2002 LS1 gasket's .053.
