Default Could improper spark plug gap leads to hesitation and poor idle?

I put some NGK TR-6 plugs in my engine (402ci with 11.1:1 CR). It hesitates like crazy when accelerating from idle (almost stalling), then all of a sudden the power comes as the engine roars to life. I bought the TR-6 to go along with my dry nitrous system that is in the works for occasional use. The plugs were gapped at the recomended 0.035" . I noticed this problem after my LT header install along with the plugs. Is this something I just need to deal with? How can I improve, regap...replug? Should I have installed the TR-55 instead?

i have the TR6 and mine are gapped at .045 and i plan on spraying. a tight gap like that would be for a boosted application or adaily fed of large amount of nitrous.

I'm starting to understand why the small gap is necessary for heavy nitrous applications. I'm just gonna do a 100 dry shot. What would you recommend gap wise? 0.045, 0.055. Any drawbacks of these two gaps?
